Maggie Harries
Maggie serves as Co-Owner, Web Copywriter, and Editor at Ventureserve Publishing She is the Author of two books, Eating Today's Bread While Still Paying For Yesterday's! and Perhaps In God's Lifetime!. Maggie is a member of AWAI: Circle Of Success and Professional Writers' Alliance. She attended Lamar University, Beaumont Texas and studied Education (History and English), earning a BA degree in 1963. Maggie's taught in Texas Public Schools from 1963 - 1975. She taught 7th Grade History, Junior HS Reading, and English in Corpus Christi. She also taught Junior English at Lincoln High School in Port Arthur (1967-68). Her pioneering efforts, being the first white teacher at an all black school before the Civil Rights Law was passed, came to the attention of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "It was a perfectly enjoyable year!", she exclaims. Maggie enjoys playing the piano, writing poetry, copywriting, and writing books. She is currently working on her third book. She also relishes taking long outings with her family at the State Park, and traveling.
