Truth is simple with just a few rules to go by. Force yourself to act differently than you feel at the moment, in order to assure necessary growth. We learn that as children, like going to school whether we feel like it or not. Later a job takes the place of school. Each of us on our way to success has to master essential skills in the game of life. Achievement comes by practicing good habits until they become automatic. The first gem of change is convincing yourself that losing is not an option. The obvious second step is full self-confidence, never visualizing failure.
Two Questions and a Truism
The two questions-What will other people say? and What will they think? motivates us since we want to please and impress others. All of us desire to believe the truism that "Champions are made, not merely born." We wish to believe that we have overcome obstacles to rise to a high level and, in the process, have gained the respect of our peers.
These steps to achievement must be adhered to on a daily basis with the most intense determination. The time to act is now, and only now. Stop counting down the days and start making those days count. Never give time away. Utilize every moment.
The only opponent you have is in the mirror when you're in front of it. Self-confidence is anyone's #1 mental skill. Use it for all it's worth. It's pure gold, so stake your claim, and get busy. A sterling example was Cassius Clay in the 1960's when he repeatedly stated, "I am the greatest", and later added, "I said that even before I knew I was." The bottom line is that it worked then, and it can work for you now.
Keeping Composure While Traveling to 'Crunchtime'
Rule #1--Focus, but if you lose it--re-focus quickly! This rule works, but only if you use it. If you use it, it's the only rule you need.

Franco Harris made the Immaculate Reception in an NFL divisional playoff game in 1972, scooping a deflected pass off his shoe tops and scoring a miracle TD with 5 seconds to play as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Oakland Raiders 13-7.
NFL Films called it the greatest play in history.
